JP Morgan was just fined $1 Billion by US regulators for rigging the precious metals and treasury markets. This is the largest fine ever for spoofing in the metals markets, but is on par with other fines within the financial industry. We show in this video how Scotia, who was recently fined $127 million, and JP Morgan used spoofing to lower metals prices and take the gold right off of the market. We also discuss how the wealthy individuals, trusts, and family funds also took delivery of metals well below their market prices. We discuss how this price distortion in the futures markets, which drives the spot price of gold everyone across the world uses, affects the $11.8 trillion in gold ever mined that is held today. We also discuss how the options market is used to take massive paper profits by the same banks that are shorting futures and spoofing prices down, with little to no risk. We show definitively how the the $1 billion fine is clearly not enough. And how the banks and wealthy individuals have already won by taking possession of gold and silver at discount rates. We discuss the pattern of massive deliveries being taken every two months, and how both October and December are setting up as huge physical delivery months on the COMEX. This man built a beautiful off-grid cabin with the help of friends for $65,000 CAD including the cost of the land. There was no road access to his lot so he had to bring in all of the building materials using a 4-wheeler with a small trailer, and then load them on a material elevator to bring them up a cliff to where he wanted to build his home. One of the water tanks is inside the house to prevent the water from freezing during the winter, and the other two are in a shed that is attached to the cabin so that warm air can be circulated with fans to prevent the other two tanks from freezing as well. For heat, he has a wood stove, and he brings the firewood up to the cabin using the material elevator. For power, he has a solar power system and a backup generator for cloudy days. This micro cabin has two lofts, one is a living room, and one is the bedroom. On the main floor is a kitchen with propane 2-burner cooktop and 110 volt fridge, a bathroom with a sink and a bath (but no toilet because he prefers to have the toilet outside), and a spacious living area with the wood stove and dining table. He lives in the tiny house with his girlfriend and enjoys the simple lifestyle and the challenge of living sustainably. Thanks for watching! Sustainable homes and off-the-grid living is on the rise, and with rising energy costs it’s easy to see why people are unplugging from mains power, disconnecting town water and becoming self-sufficient. Put simply, off-the-grid living refers to homes that are sustained autonomously without a reliance on municipal resources — such as electricity, water and gas. In this episode of Future Homes, Tasmanian couple Peter and Robyn show us their exceptional off-grid dream home situated on 80ha of pristine Tasmanian forest. After living in the suburbs of Sydney, the couple purchased the stunning block of land in Tasmania to build their dream home for retirement. After discovering that the the land was not connected to the grid, they decided to build a self-sufficient home. Their home does not rely on power for heating or cooling, with the sun providing enough natural light for the house to always remain warm. Where power is required, the home is solar powered with a hydro-generator in the creek in the forest nearby. The home is built using natural materials from around the property, for example granite-like rock and pine wood. They see the property as a chance to conserve Tasmania’s beautiful forest and wildlife. The couple also built a fire bunker into the hill by their home, so that they can defend the house in the case of a bushfire. This due to the personal value that self-contained living has given to their home. They take great pride in the dream home that they have created and consider their home to be an example of how others can lead their lives sustainably. Robyn and Peter hope that sustainable living is the way of the future. Particularly, a digital Superintelligence as Elon calls it. While artificial intelligence systems continue to improve, they also raise a fundamental question about the survival of our species. The dangers of AI can not be overstated. The AI alignment problem is probably the single most important task for humanity to get it right the first time, because we may not ever get a chance to try again. Elon Musk thinks we should proceed very very carefully if we collectively decide that building a digital Superintelligence is the right move. Our failure to grasp and deal with the possible consequences that come along with the creation of a digital Superintelligence, may prove to be our downfall. A Superintelligence would be capable of rapid learning and unlimited memory, making it a potentially superior being. It is difficult to study an AGI, but the possible results are worrying. A Superintelligence might have a rapid growth period, taking over every computer system and reducing the human race to a small and inconsequential presence. Unfortunately, an AGI would be both very intelligent and resource limited, and so it would eventually consider its own survival optimal. This may lead to it threatening other intelligences that were once its allies, and it may even terminate them. Assuming that a digital Superintelligence could be controlled, it would then be under human direction.
